Which wineries, how many wines, what price? We suggest wineries of different styles, 2-3 in a day usually: one family size, a boutique winery, an old castle perhaps, and we don't always go to the same ones. Some places are family run farmhouses, others top designer estates, then small boutique wineries, and century old castles. We give you a complete picture of the wine making world in each area.  The number of wines served in a tasting is 5 on the average, in a day you may taste 15 wines, or more if you wish. Cost:  to plan a trip and quote our best rate, please contact us, and let us know:

The driver/guide service, as an indication, costs between € 60 to € 180/person for a long day (up to 8-9 hours), varying with the group size, and mileage. Lunch and wine tastings are not included. Wine tastings not included, you pay directly at the winery.

Visit of the northern Chianti hill during the harvest, with the must smell around us, and the Vinsanto grapes drying on their racks. We tasted Chianti Classico, Supertuscans and Vinsanto in: Isole e Olena, Montagliari, and Fontodi. Two boutique wineries and one very traditional, specialize in ageing Vinsanto.

OPEN TOURS WITH SET DEPARTURES

Italianwinetours mostly runs private, tailor made private tours. We also offer open tours for people who travel alone or don't want a private tour, They will be really small group tours though. A tour will be confirmed with minimum 4 participants, and maximum 7-8 travelling in a van.

These departures with fixed dates are reserved for single travellers, or couples who don't want a private tour. The dates are limited, and are better booked early. The accommodations will be a mix of 3 and 4 stars hotels, and country resorts of equivalent comfort. Besides that, the tours will be exactly like the others.
