INCLUSIONS

1) ACCOMMODATIONS. All accommdations in 3 and 4 stars hotels, or comfortable country resorts of equivalent quality. All breakfasts included.

Single room accommodation,  20% extra. 

2) GUIDE. Experienced, senior local guide and tour leader for up to 8 people. Available all day, included during meals to introduce wines and local dishes. For more than 8 people there will be a second guide and another vehicle, and the rates will be calculated as for 2 separate smaller groups.

3) MEALS. One meal per day, one of which is a cooking class. The meals, will be in trattorie and restaurants hand-picked out of our experience, favourite of Slowfood and of local people. By “Italian” meal we mean 3 courses: primo, secondo with side order, cheese or dessert.

BONUSES

Italianwinetours prides to include at least one good DOC wine - not the house wine - water, coffee or an Italian digestive forevery meal. Other bonuses are two among gourmet picnics or street food lunches or farm meals. These give you unique chances to taste traditional productsthat you won’t find in restaurants, and that you probably would never find by yourself, and to discover farms and the people that produce the more iconic DOP specialties. Visit a farm or a workshop where they make provolone, for example, parmesan prosciutto, tunafish, special desserts or liqueurs. A food market is the liveliest place in town, anywhere in the world. There you see what local people choose and eat everyday, and you can do the same yourself. Forget the carbon-copied, unchanging “Italian sounding” menus!

4) FIVE WINE TASTINGS and cellar tours. We go where they make DOC wines (traditional ones), choosing a mix of historical estates, boutique and family wineries. More winetastings, when required, will be calculated extra.

5) TRANSPORTATION. Private vehicle from arrival to departure, from the first hotel to the last. Water always on board. In addition, two transfers from and to the closets train station, or local airport are offered if the group arrives altogether. 

6) ENTRANCE FEES. Only those specified in the program. We consider other visits to museums, archeological sites and alike, as optional, and hence as personal expenses.

NOT INCLUDED

• Airfare is not included in the price of your tour. 

• Entrance fees* as museums, archeological sites, gardens, historical villas

  or properties, if not specifically included in the program.

• Single room supplement, 20 % or the total cost.

• Individual trasfers to and from train station or airport.

• Travel and cancellation insurance, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

• Additional wine and cooking classes, when required.

• Local tour guides in the cities of art, when not mentioned in the program.

TERMS & CONDITIONS 

Payment:

20% of the final tour price to confirm the tour.

80% of the tour price 60 days before departure 

100% of the tour price 30 days before departure.

Cancellations fees

If you need to cancel your tour before departure, the following fees shall apply at the time we receive your written cancellation notice. 

20% of the cost is the not refundable tour planning fee.

More than 60 days before departure:  € 500

From 60 to 30 days before departure: € 1000 

Less than 30 days before departure:   100% of tour price, you will be able to use this amount if you buy another Italianwinetours tour within one year.
